The Shot I Didn't Take
Some restraint only reveals itself in hindsight.
I had the camera up, the moment arranged itself perfectly, and I lowered it without pressing anything. I still don't fully know why. Some part of me decided the moment belonged to being present in it rather than to being kept, and for once I let that part win.
