The Argument You Win by Accident
Sometimes you're right for the wrong reasons, or the other person concedes out of exhaustion rather than conviction, and the argument ends with your position intact and nothing actually resolved underneath it. It looks like a win. It behaves like one for maybe a week. Then the same disagreement returns wearing a different subject, because the real one was never addressed — only outlasted. Winning an argument and being correct are two different achievements, and only one of them tends to matter a year later.
